Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Intern Counselor to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality mental health services to individuals in an inpatient residential setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse populations, including those dealing with depression, grief, post traumatic stress, and anxiety. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will play a crucial role in supporting clients through various challenges and helping them achieve their mental wellness goals.

Responsibilities

Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' mental health needs.
Provide individual and group counseling sessions tailored to the unique needs of clients.
Facilitate group therapy sessions
Implement crisis intervention strategies when necessary to ensure client safety and well-being.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the clinic to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated on best practices in mental health therapy.

Experience

Working on a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required.
Under Clinical Supervision
Ability to conduct counseling sessions with troubled teens using person-centered, TF-CBT, Reality Based, Dialectable, and/or Eclectic.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and family.

Pay: $41,600.00 - $46,900.00 per year
